
GAGDI, BENSON, SPEAKER GBAJABIAMILA INTERFACE WITH LALONG, MAJE AT THEIR RESIDENCES
Rt Hon Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, the member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, yesterday led Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila and the Chairman House Committee on Defence, Hon. Babajemi Benson to the residence of the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase for a dinner, before leading them to meet with the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon Simon Bako Lalong, were issues of mutual benefit between Plateau State and the National Assembly were extensively discussed.
The Speaker, who was in Plateau State for a private visit to attend his late mother-in-law’s one year memorial service, used the opportunity to further cement his affinity with Plateau state, as his second home by paying visits to different people in the state.
By visiting the two highest elective political office holders from the state yesterday, the speaker demonstrated his love for the people of Plateau, among whom he found his cherished missen rip.
The speaker had promised to continually support legislations that will bring development to the Plateau state, a fact of which was evident in the speedy passage of the bills for the establishment of Federal Medical Centre in Wase, and Federal Orthopedic Hospital in Jos. The two bills been recently sponsored by the Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon. Wase and passed by the House of Representatives, await Senatorial concurrence and presidential assent, for it to come into fruition.
