BEYOND MERE TOKENISM,RT HON YUSUF ADAMU GAGDI HAS SET THE BENCHMARK FOR REPRESENTATION

By Prince Sekat, Jos

It has been stated that politicians must have productive ideas to enable them change the course of the nation; even as they must make sure that they understand their environment if they want to play a role in the lives of the people.

This assertion was made by Prof Pam Dung Sha at the Tamara Event Center where the Nigeria Union ofJournalists, Plateau State Council on Thursday September 1, 2022 engaged in a discourse: Beyond Politicking: Harnessing Plateau Potentials.

Rt Hon Yusuf Adamu Gagdi whose presence was felt in representative capacity told the audience that he has remained a friend of the media having copiously reported his activities over the years.

Talking about having productive ideas and knowing the environment, Rt Hon Yusuf Adamu Gagdi has remained one of the politicians seeking political office who has remained conversant with his constituents as well as their problems.

When you listen to him reel out the names, locations, problems identified and what he has been able to do in the 36 Federal Wards of PKK, you would think he was born in the three local government areas of the Federal Constituency at the same time.

Little wonder, that he has been able to visit the 36 Federal Wards repeatedly for upward of four times and in some cases even more, is an excellent indication of a representative that is bonded to his people.

This explains why as a result of identifying a number of problems facing PKK in the last three and half years of robust representation, who having turned them into practical reality of concrete solutions, his numerous projects are replete in communities.

Gagdi’s strides many know, are unprecedented, surpassing the expectations of his traducers. He has continued in the area of welfare for the people, socio-economic development, empowerment, contruction of different projects which has no equal in the history of the constituency.
