The All Progressives Congress Governorship Candidate in Plateau state Dr Nentawe Yilwatda has congratulated the University of Jos newly elected students Union Government officials.
In a statement by the spokesman for Generation Next Campaign Council Shittu Bamaiyi quotes Nentawe as saying that it’s heartening to him that the students were able to choose their leaders in a democratic and peaceful manner.
He pointed out that for the students to have chosen their leaders in such a mature,serene and democratic process is an indication that there is hope in the generation next.
Nentawe remarked that as an academic,he is not unaware of the usual chaos and sometimes violence associated with students leadership election.
According to him it is gratifying and commendable that the students were able to conduct themselves in a peacefully manner during and after the electioneering campaigns.
The governorship Candidate charged the Longmon Dakon (Troy) led newly elected executive to work closely with the management of the of University in improving the students welfare and uplifting the status of the Institution.
Nentawe assured the newly elected executives of partnering with them if voted in office as Governor of Plateau state come march next year.
