Plateau State Commissioner of Works, Hon. Pam Bot-Mang Donates Library to Jos South Community

Zawan Community was filled with joy today as the business tycoon turned politician, Hon. Pam Bot-Mang, the Plateau State Commissioner of Works donated a Library worth millions of Naira he completed and furnished to Zawan Community Secondary School, Jos South LGA.

In his remarks, Hon. Pam posited that the gesture is to contribute his quota to educational development and advancement.
He admonished students to take their studies seriously and called on parents to support their Wards to secure good education to be useful to themselves and the society.
He said education plays vital role in Nation building and enhances development of Countries.

He challenged the youths by saying to say Education is important is an understatement. He posited that education is a weapon to improve one’s life, as it is probably the most important tool to change one’s life.

He told parents that the best legacy they can bequeath to their children is sound and quality education.
He admonished the Students to make proper use of the Library.

The Gwom Rwey of Za’ang, HRH Da Sir Christopher S. Mancha commended the Commissioner for identifying with the Community and contributing to improve the learning condition of the Students.
He described him as a visionary, focused and worthy Son whose contributions are transforming Plateau State and lives. He urged him to continue contributing to the human and societal transformations.


Others who spoke were the President of Zawan Advanced Level Student Association (ZALSA), Zawan Youth President and the School Principal all lauded Hon. Pam Bot-Mang for the project and said they will ensure it is put to effective use to produce the desired result. They said Hon. Pam is building the Nation by the project which will build the capacities of many.
They called on other well spirited individuals to emulate the gesture of the Commissioner.

The event was attended by the Permanent Secretary Plateau State Ministry of Works, Hon. Engr. Sunday Hyat mni, Mr. Johnson the Representative of the Plateau State Commissioner for Secondary Education, illustrious Sons and Daughters of the Area, Students, Youths, Women etc.

NORTHERN GOVERNORS CONDOLE KWANKWASO OVER DEATH OF FATHER.

The Northern Governors Forum has condoled with former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso over the death of his father Alhaji Musa Saleh, District Head of Madobi.

Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Plateau State Simon Bako Lalong in a statement said the death of Alhaji Musa Saleh is a great loss to the Kano State traditional institution and the entire State.

He said though his demise is painful, his legacies of service, love and compassion remain indelible as he has impacted the younger generation to continue in his footsteps.

Lalong extended the sympathies of the Forum to Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, the Government and people of Kano State, as well as the Kano Emirate Council over the demise of the elderstatesman.

He prayed God to grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest and comfort the family.

SENATOR DONATES 27 BUSES TO MUSLIMS, CHRISTIANS GROUP IN BAUCHI

The senator representing Bauchi south Senator Lawal Yahya Gumau on Wednesday donated 27 Sharon buses to muslims and christians associations drawn from the seven local governments of his constituency. Gumau while presenting the vehicles to the religious groups in his Gumau town of Toro local government of the state explained that the beneficiaries include Jama’atul Nasrul Islam (JNI), Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN), Jama’atul Izalatul Bidia Wa Ikamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), Tariqatul Tijjaniyya, Tariqatul Qadiriyya etc. The groups were drawn from Alkaleri, Kirfi, Bauchi, Dass, Tafawa Balewa, Bogoro, Darazo and Toro local government areas. Represented by a former member of the house of representatives Honourable C. Nuhu, the senator said the gesture was in recognition of the roles played by the religious leaders in nation building. Gumau stated that he had been distributing vehicles to constituents and party loyalists to empower them adding that this time around, he deemed it good to extend the gesture to religious organizations in the senatorial district. The lawmaker therefore urged religious clerics to reciprocate by preaching peace, unity and good values in the society. He also asked them to assist the country with fervent and consistent prayers in order to enable it get rid of the myriad of its challenges especially the insecurity bedeviling parts of the nation. Responding, the representatives of the religious groups Malam Isma’il Katsinawa and Reverend K. Jajah expressed appreciation to the senator for the donation saying it was a honour.

Dayyabu Yusuf Garga, the Honourable Commissioner Ministry for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Plateau State, warmly felicitates with Deputy Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Saleh Shehu Yipmong, on his 47th birthday, joining family members to celebrate years of outstanding leadership, inspired by his personal attributes of courage, humility and loyalty.

Dayyabu Garga felicitates with the 9th State Assembly, friends and political associates, who was elected to the State House of Assembly in 2015, and has steadily expanded his profile and influence across the state by always placing the interest of the people, and the state, above all else, particularly on issues of education, health and infrastructure.

Dayyabu Garga extols the Deputy Speaker for the maturity in the chamber in tackling state issues, and the speed sponsor and pass bills that directly affect the livelihood of Plateau, appreciating his support in handling the affairs of the state, and the governing political party, All Progressive Congress.

ALHAMDULILLAH! I HAVE RECOVERED FROM COVID-19

It is with a thankful heart for your sustained prayer and wishes for my speedy recovery, that I announce my recovery from covid-19 after 6 days in isolation.

My family and staff have all returned negative to covid-19 test after I was tested positive to the virus.

I can only but thank God for His grace upon my life and the people around me.

I am now safe and out of isolation, after six days on treatment table.
I thank God for your prayers, and pray God to sustain our good relationship.

Members of Nigerian Union of Roads Transport Workers (NURTW) Kanke LGA branch paid a courtesy visit on Nde David Victor Dimka fsi to congratulate him on his retirement and celebrate Christmas with him, Chairman NURTW Kanke Branch Hon. Danjuma Nendik while introducing his members thank Nde David Victor Dimka fsi for paying for Drivers License for more than 15 of his members and other Assistance dole out to the group, the Chairman intimate Nde David Victor Dimka fsi on their plans to work for him during his Governorship campaign comes 2023, that his members are fully ready to kick start campaign for him as soon as possible.
In response, Nde David Victor Dimka fsi thank them for the visit and urge them to play politics without bitterness and promise to assist them with fund to procure more licenses for those who do not have so as to enable them operate without hindrance or harassment.

It was a great moment of joy and happiness when Nde David Victor Dimka, retired comptroller of Customs celebrated his first Christmas at home in Kabwir District of Kanke LGA, Plateau State with families, friends and well wishers who came from far and near to celebrate the dogged, no nonsense and prudent former comptroller of Customs who served the country diligently, faithfully,and without compromise from 1988 to 2020 when he retired meritoriously.
At Kanke Resort, venue of the Christmas celebration, Nde David Victor Dimka fsi, and his adorable wife,Maureen Dimka treated their guests with sumptuous food and assorted drinks ,and cut the Christmas cake with his family, friends and well wishers.
In appreciation, Nde Victor Dimka fsi,said he is delighted,and overwhelmed with joy to have retired succesfully from a tedious Federal Government work without, query, injury or deformity,and meeting his family, friends and well wishers like this and celebrate the first Christmas with them.He further thank them for their prayers and support while in service, saying they are truly people whom he hold in high esteem.
At the end of the cake cutting, prayers were offered for the protection, guidance and well being of the Victor Dimka family while Christmas celebrations continues…

TROOPS OF OPERATION SAFE HAVEN (OPSH) ARRESTED A NOTORIOUS ARMED ROBBER, KILLED ONE

Troops of Operation Safe Havens (OPSH) have continued to dominate the Joint Operational Area with aggressive patrols and sustained coordinated operations against kidnappers, armed robbers and bandits.

On 24 December 2020 at about 8:00am, troops of OPSH following a tip off arrested a notorious armed robber, Mr Samaila Bayers at Bayan, Gidan Waya in Jama’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Similarly on the same day, at about 11:11pm, the gallant troops also swiftly responded to a report of sporadic shootings around Kamuru Chawai Ward, Damakasuwa District in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The timely response by the troops forced the bandits attempting to attack Angwan Rimi Village to abandon their mission. The clearance operation is still ongoing to deny the armed bandits freedom of action

In a related development, on 24 December 2020, at about 8:00pm, troops of OPSH on patrol responded to an armed robbery attack on a private Sharon Vehicle heading from Abuja to Dogon – Fili, along Aboro Road in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The armed robbers ran out of luck as the troops neutralized one of them while others escaped with gunshot wounds. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the escaped armed robbers. Sadly, the criminals had shot the driver of the vehicle, Mr Richard Sabo before arrival of the troops.

All major routes in and out of the operational area are manned by troops and dominated by patrols to prevent attacks and robbery incidents as much as possible.

OPSH therefore assure the populace within its JOA of its determination ensure peaceful Christmas and New Year celebrations in its operational area. Law abiding citizens are encouraged to give timely information to help the troops respond effectively .
