The state caretaker committee of the people’s Democratic party, (PDP) plateau state at its emergency meeting held at 10 am this morning the 4th day of June 2020.
After its preliminary hearing of a disciplinary committee’s report on gross misconduct and anti-party activities by the following persons.
1. Hon Nandom penap. Exodus.
2. Godwin W Bedir.
3. Akims mamot James. 4. Mrs Asabe Dareng.
5. Nathaniel Dakas
6.Jecob Dashed.
7.Alh Kabiru Musa
Inline with the recommendations of the disciplinary committee’s report, the above mentioned persons have been expelled from the party with immediate effect.
They stand expelled.

Pretoria – The First Satanic Church which was launched in February this year has now been officially registered in South Africa.
The church’s mission reportedly is to educate the public on the Satanic Religious Board and to address common misconceptions about Satanic practises as well as ease what they term as ‘Satanic panic’ – a general fear that South Africans have of anything that appears voodoo like.
The co-founder of the Satanic church in South Africa, Riaan Swiegelaar, says the registration has been a 4-year process, but has now sailed through..
The church has a council comprising of 7 people dedicated to representing Satanism in South Africa.
Speaking to local radio stations, Riaan Swiegelar said, “When I discovered Satanism by myself, it wasn’t really an organized organization. And there was no representation so I had to find my way, through the dark, so as to speak, till I met fellow Satanists and we became a very close-knit set of people. So it’s important to have a group that resonates with the philosophy and be able to meet”.
According to Swieglar, who grew up in a strong middle class Christian household “the main philosophy of Satanism is undefiled wisdom of oneself and living completely free of the guilt invoked by other religions as a result of natural human instinct”.
Swieglar claims his family hold no grudges and have accepted his choices.
On Social Media, many South Africans expressed shock and fear, while several others celebrated, claiming it was a win for freedom of worship.
South Africa is a secular republic that is meant to guarantee freedoms for all. However, this concept is often misunderstood.
The country’s neighbour Zimbabwe has a specific clause in its constitution that makes it illegal to worship the devil. In the past, the country even had laws that made witchcraft illegal – the Witchcraft Suppression act made it illegal to engage in practises commonly associated with witchcraft, and also made calling anyone a witch illegal.
However, while the witchcraft law as abolished, the satanism law remained, without much resistance.
It is not clear if the Church of Satan in South Africa will look to grow its members, and expand into other countries.
POSITION OF THE GAMAI UNITY AND DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION (GUDO) ON THE ATTEMPT TO SHORT-CHANGE JUSTICE MONICA DONGBAN-MENSEM, AS SUBSTANTIVE PRESIDENT OF THE COURT OF APPEAL.
The attention of the Gamai Unity and Development Organisation (GUDO) has been drawn to the news making the rounds concerning our illustrious daughter, Plateau State’s Amazon and shining light of the North Central Region, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, the Acting-President of the Court of Appeal, Abuja. Since her recommendation by the National Judicial Council (NJC) and the approval given by H.E President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR Monica Dongban-Mensem has discharged her duties with commitment, courage and determination; the very reason why the National Judicial Council (NJC) has submitted her name and recommended her for confirmation as SUBSTANTIVE PRESIDENT of the Court of Appeal. For the avoidance of doubt, GUDO sincerely salutes the NJC for believing in her competence and professional conduct in the discharge of her duties, thus the recommendation!
We have received with mixed feelings and reservations the rumours of the grand plans to substitute the Acting President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem with one that is next in line to her in the order of seniority; little wonder then that in an open letter to the President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, Col. (Rtd) Umar Dangiwa opined that the President should be seen to belong to all of us Nigerians, irrespective of tribe, religion and region; GUDO equally beckons on the President’s good office to follow the path of honor by actualizing the recommendation of the National Judicial Council, to submit Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem’s name to the Senate for confirmation as the SUBSTANTIVE President of the Court of Appeal. We are compelled, on behalf of the entire Gamai people both at home and in the Diaspora, to speak strongly against what appears to be a grand design to short-change our daughter, Plateau State and the North Central region as a whole of this glorious opportunity to serve Nigeria.
We feel constrained to voice out against this politicisation and violation of the established tradition of succession to the Presidency of the Court of Appeal for which Justice Dongban-Mensem is eminently qualified and payed her due impeccably. Having served in Acting capacity, it is proper that she be given the presidential nod to carry out this National assignment to its logical conclusion as the SUBSTANTIVE President.
What is most worrisome to us is the emerging arm-twisting and baseless allegations being bantered by enemies of justice and diligence, all in a view to pave the way for their preferred choice to assume the Presidency of the Court of Appeal. This is a plot that is already being interpreted in negative light by a wide spectrum of Nigerians.
Details of these orchestrated and unwholesome moves are already in the public domain, and the dire consequences of such actions on the integrity of the Judiciary and our National unity are rearing their heads. It is our strong belief that the National Judicial Council should stand firm in defence of their submission and recommendations to the President, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, for the confirmation of Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem as Substantive President of the Court of Appeal, anything short of this will also put the Judiciary in bad light giving a precedence which is capable of demeaning the status of the Judiciary and compromising its integrity as the hallowed temple of Justice. Such subterfuge is also a bad omen, with great potentials to undermine the much-clamoured good governance and rule of law of this administration.
In conclusion, we are also appealing to President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, The National Assembly all men and women of good conscience, those on the Bench and at the Bar, political leaders, Civil Society and other stakeholders to lend their voice against this dangerous precedence and act of impunity that is capable of derailing the most cherished sanctity of the Judiciary in the dispensation of Justice in the country.

Plateau State Governor, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Simon Lalong and Chairman, Nineteen Northern Governors Forum, is a democrat and father to all. As such, he does not interfere or peddle influence in the democratic choice of citizens to favour a particular person or group of persons. State Commissioner of Information and Communication, Dan Manjang made the declaration in a statement made available to news men in Jos where he absolved the Governor of allegedly “anointing” an aspirant for the up coming Plateau South Senatorial bye election. Manjang said as a product and pillar of democracy, Lalong is conscious of the right of citizens in making free choices at all times. He explained that the Governor never imposed himself on the electorate but faced them each time he contested elections. The Commissioner stated that all aspirants for the bye election are free to woo APC delegates and members for the primary election, noting that anyone who emerges winner becomes the candidate of the party and that of the Governor. Manjang dismissed those dragging Governor Lalong’s name into the mud with regards to the APC primary election for the Plateau South Senatorial District bye election as merchants of conflict who want to cause disharmony and disrupt the peace of the party. The Commissioner said what should pre occupy genuine APC members now is a successful primary and to reclaim the Senate seat left vacant following the death of Senator Ignatius Longjan and not throwing tissues of disaffection against Governor Lalong.

1.Online Nomination will hold for one week (7 days) where people will send in their nominations of people they think deserve a particular category for their good use of the social media platform.
2.people must nominate people that are relevant to a particular award category as professionals in the field or deserving of the category.
3.online voting will make up 80 % of the votes while the Team of judges will have 20% to decide.
4.the top five names in each category will be shortlisted for the final voting.
5.we will have 20 categories of nominations for people to nominate.

Abill to provide for anti-land grabbing, kidnapping, cultism, anti-violence and other related matters has passed the second reading at the Plateau House of Assembly.
Honourable Philip Dasun (APC, Pankshin North), who presented the bill before the House, said that the bill, which had six parts and 57 clauses, was presented to curtail incessant crises in the state.
“The detailed activities the law seeks to achieve include but not limited to protecting landed properties against violence.
“Dealing with attempts to commit offences and criminal conspiracies as well as prohibition of secret cults.
“The bill is also aimed at dealing with all forms of kidnappings”, Dasun, who is the Deputy Majority Leader, said.
The Speaker, Honourable Abok Ayuba, who presided over the plenary, said that two other bills that had to do with anti-land grabbing and kidnapping as presented by some members would be harmonized into one.
Abok, after inputs from members, directed that the bill be sent to the Committee on Judiciary for a more detail assessment.
According to the Speaker, the committee is to report back to the House on June 16 for further legislative action.

The Federal Government has reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, popluary known as Petrol.
The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) announced that the new pump price band will be N121.50 from N123.50 per litre.
This is the third time the pump price of petrol would be reviewed in 2020.
The new directive was contained in a circular to fuel marketers dated May 31, 2020. new retail price band for oil marketers.
The downward review of the petrol prices is as a result of the crash in the price of crude oil at the global market due to the ravaging impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
GOVERNOR LALONG CONGRATULATES DEPUTY SPEAKER AHMED WASE @ 56
Plateau State Governor and Chairman, Northern Governors Forum, Simon Bako Lalong has congratulated the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Ahmed Idris Wase on the occasion of his 56th birthday. In a congratulatory message, Governor Lalong described the Deputy Speaker as one of the dedicated, loyal and patriotic sons of Plateau State who continues to serve the State and the nation with integrity and excellence. Lalong said “The Rt. Hon. Ahmed Wase is a consummate politician and a reliable ally who puts the interest of his people above personal gains. He has used his influence to promote the cause of Plateau State by putting up strong arguments and lobbying for the good of the State at the National Assembly”. Lalong recalled that only recently, the Deputy Speaker led a delegation of all elected National Assembly members from Plateau State who donated some money to the Plateau State COVID-19 Endowment Fund as well as personally donated palliatives to the State and many people in his constituency. The Governor also appreciated the Deputy Speaker for supporting the programmes and projects of the Rescue Administration in Plateau State as well as personally executing constituency projects that have touched the lives of the people positively. LORD AS WE ENTER THE LAST HALF MONTHS OF THE YEAR 2020 SHOW US MERCY Good morning! And welcome to the second half months of the year 2020.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. (8) He is like a tree planted by the water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8 (ESV).
Psalm 1 and Jeremiah 17:7-8 both compare a man or woman who trusts in God and meditates on His law to a tree that is planted near the waters.
Faithful people are like trees that grow beside a river and their roots extend to its deep parts where there is continuous source of water to nourish them. Such trees are not disturbed by heatwaves or drought conditions because they are deeply rooted in the river. They are like a house built upon the rock.
Thus, God’s faithful people can withstand the vicissitudes of life because they have grown deep roots in God, His Word and His promises, and he becomes their source of life and of others too, as they bear fruits of the Holy Spirit and proclaim His salvation. The call today, this week and months is to put our faith and trust in God for He has been our shelter in the time of COVID – 19, Kidnappers and other worrisome storms that have bedeviled our country and society; a very present help in the time of trouble and our refuge and strength in times of weakness.
Trusting God does not mean that we cannot be tempted with denial of the truth or danger, but when they come, we should place them before God and have faith in Him to work them out on our behalf.
When our trust is in the Lord our God, the rain may pour, the storm may rage, the winds may be strong, the waves may be high and beat against us, but we will not be moved for our feet are planted like a tree by the rivers of water.
Trusting the LORD blesses us with a sustaining supply of blessings in the parched times of adversity in our lives. Our lives can endure (as we have) troublesome times without anxiety, because we know of, and have experienced the LORD’s goodness in times of difficulties of life.
Trusting the LORD even when life hurts, will give us the ability to have peace that goes beyond all our understanding. We must remember that the LORD will always do what He said he will do. Psalm 118:8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. We are warned in Psalm 146:3 saying, “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.”
May these last six months of the year bring us to the end of COVID-19 Pandemic. May the church witness a great revival, transformation and renewal. May there be new spirit in governance, revival of the economy and new hope for a better Nigeria in Jesus name. Certainly from the experiences of COVID – 19 if at all we learn any lesson, THE WHOLE WORLD WILL NOT REMAIN THE SAME AGAIN, THERE WILL BE NEW NORMAL. May Habakkuk 3:2 be fulfilled “O Lord, I have heard Thy speech and was afraid; O Lord, revive Thy work in the midst of the years.
