The suspended Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, Gombe State chapter, Rev. Sunday Congo, says he has written his handover note as requested by the national body of the Christian association.

Congo was suspended by CAN following his felicitation of the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Ali Pantami, over his elevation to the rank of professor by the Federal University of Technology Owerri.

The suspended chairman, who declined further comment, said he did not want to elaborate on certain issues for personal reasons.

Congo said, “I’m going to do it (hand over) with immediate effect. I’m going to do it physically. I have written the letter but I want to go to CAN centre and do an official handing over. I don’t know the time yet, I’m arranging with my close leaders but it will be tomorrow (Saturday).”

He added, “I want to reserve all comments for now.”

The viral letter partly read, “I have received a letter from the national office through the Chairman of the North East suspending me from office because I congratulated Minister Pantami. I receive the decision with all gratitude. In all things, the Bible says we should be thankful. God is my judge. I didn’t do that with any evil intention of spoiling the church. I am a child of God and I will never do such a thing. I, therefore, hand over the office today as instructed.”

GAGDI MEETS WITH NAVAL HIERARCHY, FLEW TO JOS TO PAY CONDOLENCE VISITS IN JARMAI AND DENGI

It was a hectic start to the weekend for the member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, blending his core legislative mandate of representing his Constituents in the green chamber and regularly keeping in touch with his people.

The lawmaker had a brainstorming session with the top echelon of the Nigerian Navy in the noon of Friday 17th September, 2021 and flew to Jos immediately after the session to condole with his Constituents in Jarmai and Dengi.

Gagdi was in Jarmai to condole with the family of Alhaji Hussaini Baba, Turakin Jarmai, the elder brother to Alhaji Inuwa Baba, the former protocol officer to former Presidents Obasanjo and Jonathan.

The Member equally visited the village ahead of Jarmai to condole with him over the death of his Turaki.

You will recall that within the week, the lawmaker had presented a motion on the floor of the house, calling on the federal government to redeem tge #10billion pledge they made to the displaced people in Plateau state, while calling on the house to mandate INEC to urgently conduct election into the vacant seat of Jos North Bassa Federal Constituency as well as asking Federal Government to extend similar assistance it has extended to victims of crisis in other parts of the country to the victims of crisis in Jos.

The workaholic member representing PKK, is the perfect example of a people centred representative who is never found wanting in any aspect of his responsibility, and we in Gagdi media Team can only wish him more power to his elbows.

MY HEART BLEEDS OVER THE DEATH OF HON DAN DUL, SAYS SEN DIMKA

The death of the former chairman of Lanftang North Local Government Area of Plateau State, Hon Chief Dan Dul, has been described as a big loss to the Taroh nation, even as it is a painful exit to his family and friends.

Fondly called Danny Social n his social cycle, the late political office holder was an epitome of humility and courage while he lived on the face of the earth; and making concrete contributions to the development of the community and the state.

I am aware that those who had contacts with you remember encouraging them always to stand up for the truth and not keep it to themselves.

Today you are remembered as the legend of Kumbwang clan, not for the fun of it, but the contributions you made while alive and serving the nation in various areas of human endeavour

It is on account of all your contributions that the loss is the more painful. I wish God to comfort your family, associates and friends to bear the irreparable loss of our friend.

GAGDI TASKS FG TO REDEEM N1O BILLION PLEDGE TO VICTIMS OF PLATEAU ATTACKS, URGENTLY CONDUCT BY-ELECTION IN JOS NORTH/BASSA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY

GAGDI TASKS FG TO REDEEM #10 BILLION PLEDGE TO VICTIMS OF PLATEAU ATTACKS, URGENTLY CONDUCT BYELECTION IN JOS NORTH/BASSA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY.

The member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, has today, tasked the federal government to make good its #10 billion pledge for the rehabilitation and relocation of victims of Plateau attacks, while charging INEC to conduct by election for the vacant sit of Jos North/Bassa federal Constituency with the view to restoring the voice of the people of the Constituency in the House of Representatives.

In a loaded motion of urgent public importance encompassing 6 prayers, bothering on the recent breach of the peace in Plateau state, the Chairman House Committee on Navy, has called on all humanitarian federal agencies to, as a matter of urgency, send relief materials to the victims of the recent attacks and ensure Plateau state enjoys all benefits accruing to victims of attacks in the northeast.

Presenting the motion on the floor of the house on Wednesday, 15th September, 2021, Gagdi said Plateau state has been underrepresented in the House of Representatives, with the demise of Hon. Haruna Maitala on 2nd April, 2021 as a result of a ghastly auto crash, and wondered why the electoral body is taking longer than necessary to fill the vacant seat, over five months after the demise of the last representative.

He said the vacancy of that seat has reduced the people of the Constituency to Orphans, who have no father to air their grievances, especially at this crisis period, when the people are killed in their numbers by blood thirsty killers.

In another development, Gagdi has presented a report on the bill for an act to establish Nigerian Maritime Trust Fund, a bill sponsored by him, that seeks to reposition the Nigerian Navy for optimum productivity.
