The predicted split of the Plateau Publishers Association, PPA, has finally come to fruition with the emergence of Chief Amos Gizo to head the association for the span of six months after which an election will be conducted. Members of the committee to conduct the elections are: Chief Amos Gizo as Chairman, Mrs. Florence Ossai, Mr. Yakubu Ajala, Mr. Daniel Kura and Yuwana Nanyah. The interim EXCO led by Mr. Shabul Mazadu has been dissolved before the expiration of its six months which is 27th May, 2021. However, some aggrieved members who felt there is more than meets the eye broke away from the PPA and formed Independent Publishers Association, IPA, with Mazadu as their chairman saying he has done so much for the association and a good leader with great vision of progress. And that if really there is truth and no conspiracy in what some members of the association said about conducting elections, the space of time that should be given for elections should be at least three months and not six months.
