DISTINGUISH SENATOR HEZEKIAH DIMKA IS NOT A TRIBAL BIGOT OR ETHNIC CHAMPION__Munatare Munashak

DISTINGUISHED SENATOR HEZEKIAH DIMKA IS NOT A TRIBAL BIGOT OR ETHNIC CHAMPION.

Senator Hezekiah Dimka is a man that has proven his worth over the years with track record of service to his people and Nation.

It is on record that he has impacted on lives of not only Plateau people but Nigerians across ethnic, religious and political divides.

At a time when Plateau people are looking at re-integrating to unite across ethnic divides, some faceless Groups are trying to fan the embers of ethnic chauvinism.

If God permits and the good people of Plateau decide to support Senator Hezekiah Dimka,

It will not be because he is an Ngas Man.

Dimka will be supported because he is going to be the Governor of Plateau people and not of Ngas nation.

It is unfortunate that some dwell on junk journalism to spread falsehood, hate Speech and misinformation in order to project the interest of their paymasters.

Senator Hezekiah Dimka is an elder statesman and a nationalist.

He cannot be relegated to be a local & tribal champion as others quest is hinged on their tribal and ethnic endorsement.

Let it be on record that no tribal champion will occupy little Rayfield in 2023.

18 PROFESSORS CONTEST UNIVERSITY OF JOS VICE-CHANCELLOR SEAT

18 Profs Contest UNIJOS vice-chancellor seat

As the tenure of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jos, Prof. Sebastian Maimako, draws to a close, at least 18 professors are jostling to take over from him.

Maimako, who assumed office as eighth substantive VC of the institution on June 23, 2016, has only two months remaining to vacate the position, having completed his five-year single term.

It was gathered that out of the 18 professors, who had so far declared their interests to succeed the outgoing VC, 14 were from the institution, while the remaining were from other universities outside Plateau State.

Among the front runners are the current Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics, of the institution, Prof. Tanko Ishaya, from Kebbi State.

  1. The Provost, College of Health Sciences, Prof. Yiltok Simon.
  2. The Chairman, Plateau State COVID-19 Research Group, Prof. Wannang Noel.
  3. Former Provost, Federal College of Education, Pankshin, David Wonang
  4. Profs. Bernard Matur
  5. Dimis Mailafia
  6. Daniel Dabi
  7. Sylvester Shikyil
  8. Dung Pam Sha
  9. Uriah Alex Lar
  10. Isuwa Jurmang
  11. Patricia Lar
  12. Pam Yakubu
  13. Stephen Mallo
  14. Profs. A. Eugene from the Nassarawa State University, Keffi
  15. Ashom Maisamari, University of Abuja
  16. Paul Mamza from the Almadu Bello University, Zaria
  17. Prof Onoja from the Nassarawa State University, Keffi.

A member of the Governing Council of UNIJOS confirmed the development.

The council member, who pleaded not to be named, said, “So far, we have a total of 18 professors who have applied for the VC job. About 14 of them are from within the University of Jos, while the four others are from outside.

“The council will meet this week, either Wednesday or Thursday, and a committee is expected to be set up during the meeting to screen the applications. Some of the potential candidates may have submitted their applications late or you find out that some of them may be over the age.

“The committee will ensure that only qualified applicants are shortlisted and thereafter, those who have been successfully screened will be invited by ASUU to interact with members of the union.

“I can assure you that the selection process of the VC will terminate in April, because the lifespan of the current governing council will end in the second week of May and it is expected that it would have concluded the assignment to produce a new VC before its tenure expires so that a new VC for the University of Jos will formally assume office in June this year.”

2023 PLATEAU STATE GOVERNORSHIP RACE:FORGET ABOUT SEN. HEZEKIAH DIMKA__GROUP

A group under the auspices of Ngas Network for Good Governance has called on the Ngas sons and daughters to neglect the appeal making the round that Senator Hezekiah Ayuba Dimka is vying for the number one seat of Plateau State come 2023.
Co-ordinator of the group Mr Mathew Nentok in a statement made available to newsmen said that Sen. Dimka is only playing games as he has concluded plans with Prof. Sonni Gwanle Tyoden to support him for the Governorship ticket while retains his senate seat in the 2023 elections and as such any reasonable Ngas person should not be tricked into this gimmick.
The group warned that any sell-out from the Ngas nation over the tribes aspiration for the Governorship seat of Plateau State is not only an enemy of progress but a traitor of the entire Ngas race.
