Activities at the College of Health technology in Pankshin local government council of Plateau state Area, were on Thursday grounded following protests by Ad hoc workers of the institution.

The workers who gathered at the School entrance in Pankshin as early as 8 am blocked the entrance gates and prevented movement into the school premises.

Leader of the protesters Wambutda Wugokwe,

PLATEAU 2023: INEC OFFICIALS ALLOCATED VOTES TO PDP DURING THE ELECTION- SAYS APC CANDIDATE DR NENTAWE YILWATDA

Plateau 2023 – INEC officials allocated votes to PDP during ,the election – says APC Candidate Dr Nentawe Yilwatda

APC governorship Candidate Nentawe Yilwatda has revealed how a PDP card carrying member was employed by INEC and assigned to Mangu, the home Local government area of the PDP candidate to conduct the March 18th election.

Nentawe who disclosed this in his petition before the governorship election petition Tribunal in Jos, stated that Professor Henry Hentuang Longpoe was posted to Mangu Local government area as collation officer.

According to him, it was to the knowledge of INEC that Professor Longpoe was an aspirant for the Shendam Constituency, for the state House of Assembly and yet appointed him the collation officer of Mangu local government area.

Nentawe pointed out that Professor Longpoe, had severally identified with the interest and aspirations of Caleb Mutfwang as evidenced in his face book and other social media platforms.

Similarly, Nentawe fished out the collation officer of Naraguta ‘B’ registration Area, where he interrupted the collation process by unlawfully taking over the duties of the Ward collation officer.

He maintained that in the unlawful acts of the collation officer, he collated only the results of the polling units where Mutfwang had more votes including over voting and refused to accept results in those areas where elections were conducted.

The petitioner averred that INEC agents, in an attempt to conceal the over voting in the result sheets Form-EC8 A changed or altered the initial entries in the scores of the Political Parties.

Nentawe pleaded that the March 18th election was vitiated by non-conduct of elections or cancellation of elections in several polling units across the state adding that there was no accreditation of voter with the use of BVAS.

He therefore prayed the tribunal to determine that Mutfwang having not been sponsored by the PDP or any political party is not qualified to contest the governorship election.

The APC governorship Candidate further prayed the tribunal to declare Mutfwang’s election as the governor of Plateau state as null and void for non compliance with the Electoral Act,2022.

Nentawe urged the tribunal to declare him as the winner of the election having scored majority of the lawful votes cast at the election and set aside the certificate of return and compel INEC to withdraw same from Mutfwang.

ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS APC PLATEAU STATE INSISTS ON GOING TO THE TRIBUNAL

PRESS RELEASE

APC INSISTS ON GOING TO THE TRIBUNAL.8/4/23

The Generation Next Campaign Council has advised the People’s Democratic Party to stay away from the APC governorship Candidate Nentawe Yilwatda until after the election petition tribunal completes it’s sittings in the state.

Reacting to a newspaper report and rumours that talks are on to stop the party from going to the tribunal, spokesman of the campaign council, Shittu Bamaiyi stated that no amount of pressure would stop the APC and its governorship Candidate from challenging the outcome of the March 18th governorship election.

He further stated that the Electoral Act of 2022 gives an aggrieved party the right to go to the tribunal where there is a perceived injustice or illegality during the election.

Shittu remarked that, it is therefore not out of place for the APC and Nentawe to proceed to the tribunal to challenge the outcome of the election in the face of glaring electoral malfeasance perpetrated on that fateful day.

He noted that for the PDP to think that by exerting unnecessary pressure and sending emissaries would make the APC to withdraw the case from the tribunal, is just a fallacy.

According to him, no amount of sugar coated promises and enticements, would make the APC and its candidate to betray the trust and confidence entrusted to them by the people of the state.

Shittu advised the PDP to concentrate on putting up its defence if at all it has any, rather than embarking on a wild goose chase which at end of the day will not yeild any result

He emphatically stated that the APC has harvested enough evidence and witnesses to present at the tribunal to prove that the governorship election was massively rigged in favour of the PDP.
