RE: GIWA DO NOT POSSESS THE CREDENTIAL AND INTEGRITY TO BE PLATEAU NORTH SENATOR
28th June 2022
Our attention has once again been drawn to a recent social media publication which was written and is being circulated by one “Dishonourable” Akims Mamot James. Ordinarily he doesn’t deserve the attention which he seeks but for the fact that our team are always inclined towards ‘responding to messages while we ignore the messenger’ we would like to address the issues raised by this political failure who scored ZERO (0) votes in the recent primary election of the PDP where he contested to represent the good people of Mangu/Bokkos in the Federal House of Representatives.
This political jobber who claims to be pursuing a PhD degree has just proven that what he is actually pursuing is a ‘Pull Him Down’ degree and not a Doctor of Philosophy degree. He has just explained why the delegates totally rejected his bid despite accessing huge funding from a certain quarter to the tune of 10 million Naira which eventually couldn’t help him secure a single vote at the primary elections. What a woeful way to fail elections.
We find it difficult to fathom his message when he called Amb Giwa an upcoming politician when he subsequently acceded to the fact that he (Amb Giwa) has been relevant in the polity since 1999 by being a ‘Dariye Boy’, a description which we have failed to decipher its contextual or literal meaning.
Despite the uncountable errors contained therein in that article which took us hours to comprehend the message he was attempting to put across, we came to a conclusion that his inability to think rationally might have been caused by the euphoria of the loss he witnessed hence we advise him to seek medical therapy to help him heal. Otherwise how can he call the Ambassador a born again, proceed to commend him for his wonderful philanthropic interventions across various communities and still allege that Amb. Giwa is battling to redeem his integrity? Was there any time the integrity of Amb. Giwa was put to test?
Akims tagged Plateau State a controversial state, the very state he sought to represent one of its constituencies. We caution him to be mindful of his words, as words once spoken cannot be retrieved. We make bold to say that Giwa never lose his bid to head the NFF but simply listened to the voice of reason as someone who doesn’t see leadership as a do-or-die affair but as an opportunity to serve his nation, for that very reason he stepped down on his mandate to avoid the NFF from being sanctioned which could have affected the source of livelihood of an uncountable number of people, despite the fact that he emerged victorious in the elections and even at courts where he challenged contending issues manipulated against him.
We equally cautioned Akims to refrain from using the names of our revered elders including the respected elder statesman Late Col. John David Dungs in his shenanigans henceforth, as such if he sees money as a determining factor on who becomes a representative, shall we remind him that the people of Plateau North endorsed the candidature of Amb. Chris M. Giwa at the primary elections without demanding or collecting ‘shishi’ as the delegates opted for credibility and capacity and rejected inducements of any kind or form.
Isn’t is a complete balderdash for someone who has not seen eye-to-eye with his father for years to now question the ethnicity of our principal? What Akims meant by insinuating that Amb Giwa is not a full flesh Berom man is strange to the Berom nation as the Berom people have a slogan “wurom asi wurom” which translates to a Berom man is a Berom man without prejudice to any difference whatsoever. We make to ask him if there was any point in time that the Berom people disowned their beloved son the way Akims was disowned by his father.
Accusing Giwa of not possessing the needed credentials to contest this elections is myopic and a complete prove that Akims have been hallucinating, otherwise, what credentials did Giwa present during his screening with both the party and at the point of submitting his nomination form to the electoral umpire (INEC)? He proceeded to question the legislative prowess of Amb. Giwa before seeking elections to the senate, shall we ask him similarly what legislative prowess he also possessed when he sought to represent the good people of Mangu/Bokkos at the Federal House of Representatives.
We were taken aback by this miscreant who flaunts his undeserved academic credentials which he just proved by publishing a substandard, unsubstantiated and baseless article where he was asking if Amb Giwa could speak the Berom language fluently as a criteria for contesting elections. He just proved his bigotry and ethnocentric nature which he did in total disregard to other ethnic nationalities in Plateau North as if Giwa was seeking elections to represent only the Berom people in Plateau North or maybe he was going to be using the Berom language to communicate in the national assembly.
Finally we advise Akims that if he is looking for ways to recover the monies he might have possibly squandered while pursuing his fruitless political journey, which is possibly why he has resorted to cheap blackmail, then he has just hit a heavy gridlock that might consume him if he does not retrace his steps.
