The TIC Chairman Jos South LGA, Hon. Dachung Yohanna Choji alongside the council Secretary Hon Tok Gyang Badung and other Management Committee Members,flagged off the distribution of food palliatives across the 20 wards of the LGA.
Hon Dachung while thanking the people of the local government for their patience during this hard and trying moments as he acknowledged the fact that the Palliatives were distributed late and he pleaded for their forgiveness and promise to make the necessary adjustment as times goes on. He thereby instructed that the food items comprising of 200 bags of Rice,150 bags of beans,150 bags of garri,100 bags of millet,100 bags of maize and 100 bags of Sugar should be given along side with the donation of 500 crates of eggs given to add up to the palliatives distributed by the Hon commissioner of work Hon Pam Botmang who were mostly shared to the most vulnerable in the LGA first comprising of ( widows, the aged and Persons With Disabilities (PWDs).
Notable personalities at the flag off were HRH the Gwom Rwei Jos south LGA, Da Nga Dangyang, Hon Pam Bot Mang and Hon. Fom Gwottson member representing Jos south constituency in the PLSHA.
Hon Gwottson while noting the difficulty associated with being in government at this critical time where resources are lean compared to the high expectations from people, acknowledged and commended the efforts of the chairman in providing the palliatives.
Dachung however, advised the people of the LGA to observe good personal hygiene by adhering to the preventive measure of curbing the spread of the COVID -19 across the LGA and State as a whole. He went ahead to advise them to always respect the Stay at home orders by the government especially during the lock down period as its for the benefits of the entire citizens of the state.
The distributions was given to the HRH Da Dangyang on behalf of the recipients whom commended the government and the chairman for making provision of the food items as it will go a long way in reducing the long suffering this pandemic as caused to the masses especially during the era of the lockdown where there is dwindling in the global economy not only the nation or state. He promised to plead with the people to understand with the people to be understanding with the Palliatives been given to them and they should try as well understand the current situation with the government and that government will continue to intensify efforts in suggesting better ways reducing the hardship of the masses.
In attendance of the flag up were members of the LGA task force committee which are All districts heads,all supervisory and part-time councillors, CAN and JNI Jos South LGA PYC Jos South, The committee is headed by the Gwom Rwei Jos South LGA and items will be distributed according to the respective wards in the LGA.
The chairman however toured round the wards after the flag up to supervise the further compliance by the citizens.

Through your thoughtful leadership, great vision and sincerity, you’ve exempted plateau Farmers from restrictions due to covid-19 lockdown as they are required to go to their farms now that the rains have started and also approved for this year’s planting season the distribution of farms inputs including fertilizer, herbicides,and and improved yields to Farmers accross the state.
Sir, the impact of the agricultural transformation agenda and your ongoing agricultural revolution in the state and commitment to boosting the economic status of the people of Plateau has been huge and commendable.
Agriculture under your Leadership has become the new buzz in Plateau State as young graduates are moving into agriculture as a business.
The journey to make Plateau State an Agribusiness State and powerhouse in food is still ongoing. But the result we have achieved so far make me confident that we will get there.
We are thankful for you and pray that, as you celebrate your birthday, you will be graced with many more years filled with sound health and joy.

Happy Birthday to His Excellency
It is with great joy that I, on behalf of National Coordinator Buhari campaign Organization under the leadership of Alhaji. Dr Danaladi Pasali and all President Buhari Campaign Organization warmly felicitate with our amiable Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Barrister Simon Bako Lalong as he turns 67.
In him, Plateau State has found a rare leader who has undertaking to commit his whole to making requisite and realistic plans towards peace and industrializing the State so it attains self reliance, generate the resources required to run the government, create job opportunities and spur the much desired progress and development. The Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 will engage about 3,300 informants to report suspected cases of coronavirus in Kano State. The PTF Chairman and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha, revealed this on Tuesday in Abuja.
He made the disclosure when he led members of the task force to the House of Representatives chamber of the National Assembly in the nation’s capital. Mustapha briefed the lawmakers on the measures being put in place by the Federal Government to address the situation in Kano and curb the spread of the disease in the state.
He explained that the task force has mobilised the informants for a house-to-house search and report suspected cases of COVID-19 in the state. The PTF chairman believes Kano is fast emerging as the epicentre of the pandemic in the northern region of the country. As part of efforts to address the situation, he revealed that a total of 58 technical staff from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the World Health Organisation (WHO) have been deployed in the state.
According to Mustapha, the COVID-19 testing capacity in Kano has been increased to 400 per day and plans are in place to increase it to 2,000 daily by the end of the week.
